This is part of a research project whose goal is to understand what the best form of child-centered learning looks like when money is no constraint. The study's design allows us to spend up to $100,000 per student for one year.
We want to answer questions like:
- → How do the best educators motivate kids and inspire a love of learning?
- → How does a kid's mastery of a subject affect their feelings towards it?
- → Does contextualizing material matter? How much more engaged are kids when they understand why they are learning what they're learning?
- → Where do existing curriculums and materials fall short? How and when do expert educators switch or supplement them to help kids move forward without confusion or frustration?
- → How long does it take for growth mindset practices to start to show up in a student's approach to school?
We hope that this one-year program sets kids up for a lifetime of loving math and having the skills to tackle any problem, with a focus on core math and ELA skills they can carry with them throughout their education. Our study's top priority is mastery and deep understanding, but through daily 40-minute meetups, we expect kids to cover roughly the equivalent of two to three years of academic learning without doing any homework.
We'd love for your family to be part of this. Spots are filled by lottery and registration only takes a few minutes.
