Katie is former Vice President of K-8 Academics at KIPP Charter Schools and Senior Executive Director of Academics at Denver Public Schools. As Head of Program, she oversees tutor recruitment, training, and performance; academics, and educational goal-setting.

Matt Kraft

Principal Investigator

Professor Matt Kraft is Professor of Education and Economics at Brown University. As Principal Investigator, Matt will ensure the study rigorously and accurately documents the methods and results of excellent education.

Ben Somers

Executive Director

Ben Somers is an educational entrepreneur who believes in kids' endless potential. As Executive Director, he oversees all aspects of the project including development, recruitment, and quality control.

Yona Sperling-Milner

Head of Operations & Media Lead

Yona is a junior at Harvard University with a passion for education. As Head of Operations and Media Lead, she handles logistics and external communications for Modern Bloom.
